Learning Objectives
Indicator: K1.1.2.1.6 - Colour an outline of a part of the body used in performing a function.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and name the part of the body shown in an outline drawing (for example, legs, hands, ears, eyes).
- Colour an outline drawing of a body part, staying within the lines as much as possible.
- Say what function is performed by the body part they have coloured (for example, “legs help us walk”, “hands help us carry things”).
- Talk about their coloured artwork with a friend, describing what the illustration shows and what the body part does.
- Match a coloured outline of a body part to the action it performs with help from pictures or teacher prompts.
