Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.2.1.2.1 - Prevent pollution on the environment by performing simple activities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and describe at least three human activities that pollute the land, water, and air in their local area.
  2. Explain at least two effects of pollution on the environment, such as heat, health hazards, depletion of natural habitats, and flooding.
  3. Demonstrate one simple activity that prevents or reduces pollution, such as sweeping, sorting waste, or reducing smoke.
  4. Work in groups to create and play a simple game that teaches the importance of reducing pollution.
  5. Reflect on their own behaviour and commit to at least one pollution-preventing action they can perform at home or school.
