Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.2.1.2.1 - Identify and describe different weather conditions
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least four different weather conditions (sunny, windy, rainy, cloudy) when shown a picture or video.
- Describe what the sky, sun, wind, and rain look or feel like in each weather condition using simple sentences.
- Observe the weather outside their classroom and state which weather condition they can see that day.
- Recite or sing a short rhyme about weather and point out the weather type mentioned in it.
- Draw or point to a picture that matches a weather condition named by the teacher.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
Show pictures/films of different weather conditions. Learners use rhymes, e.g. "rain, rain go away", to tell the types of weather e.g. i) Sunny weather, ii) Windy weather, iii) Rainy weather, iv) Cloudy weather Sunny weather Windy weather Rainy weather
Learners in groups: describe the weather type from their pictures to the class; mention the weather of the day from what they can observe outside their classroom
