By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define a plain and distinguish it from other landforms such as mountains and plateaus.
- Describe the three types of plains (structural, erosional and depositional) and explain the processes that create each type.
- Sketch and label examples of plains, showing their characteristic flat or gently undulating surfaces.
- Explain the importance of plains to human activities, settlement and economic development in Ghana and beyond.
- Evaluate the relationship between the type of plain and the human activities that take place there, using reasoning and evidence.
