Indicator: B5.5.3.1.2 - Examine sources of evidence about what happened during the 1948 riots.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least three different types of sources (photographs, maps, official reports, oral accounts, documentaries) that provide evidence about the 1948 riots.
Analyse a map of Accra showing the approved route for the ex-service men and explain why the route mattered.
Describe what happened at the Christianborg Crossroads on 28 February 1948, using evidence from at least two different sources.
Discuss the arrest of the Big Six as an event that followed the riots, using evidence to support their account.
Compare information from different sources and state at least one reason why sources may disagree about what happened.
