Indicator: B9.4.2.2.3 - Write articles (short reports, letters and case studies) on given issues for publication
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the key features and structure of short reports, letters to the Editor, and case studies intended for publication.
- Distinguish the purpose, audience, and tone appropriate for each of the three text types.
- Write a short report on a given school or community issue using an appropriate headline, introduction, body, and conclusion.
- Draft a letter to the Editor on a local issue using the correct format and a persuasive but respectful tone.
- Compose a brief case study that presents a real-life situation, its background, and its outcome for a specified publication.
