Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.4.2.2.5 - Write articles on given issues for publication in class and club magazines.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the topic, purpose, and audience for an article in a class or club magazine.
  2. Generate and select ideas appropriate for a given article topic and purpose.
  3. Sort and classify ideas into a logical structure (introduction, body, conclusion) for an article.
  4. Draft and revise a short article on a given issue suitable for publication in a class or club magazine.
  5. Use a variety of writing strategies and electronic resources (e.g., word processor, dictionary app) to improve their article.
