Indicator: B5.1.4.1.2 - Explain the fundamentals of digital system components (hardware, software and networks).
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define hardware, software and networks in their own words, using examples from their school or home.
- Sort a list of digital items into hardware, software or networks on a simple chart.
- Explain how hardware, software and networks work together for a device to function, using a familiar example like a mobile phone.
- Identify at least one network in their community and state what it is used for.
- Create a simple labelled drawing showing hardware, software and a network.
