Indicator: B5.2.10.1.1 - Summarise level-appropriate texts/passages orally

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Identify the most important ideas in a level-appropriate passage read aloud by the teacher.
  • Retell a story or passage in their own words, without copying the exact sentences from the original text.
  • Answer oral questions about the main characters, setting, and main events of a passage using a story map as a guide.
  • Orally produce a summary of 3 to 5 sentences that captures the beginning, middle, and end of a short passage.
