Indicator: B4.2.10.1.1 - Summarise level-appropriate passages/texts orally

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read a level-appropriate passage and identify the main idea in each paragraph.
  2. Restate the main points of a passage in a few words orally.
  3. Use their own words to give a short oral summary of a passage, without copying sentences from the text.
  4. Distinguish between important details and unimportant details when summarising a text.
  5. Present an oral summary to the class with clarity and confidence.
