Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.1.4.1.3 - Create own events to extend stories heard
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- retell the main events of a familiar story, such as Ananse and the wisdom pot, using sequence words like first, next, then and finally.
- create at least two new events that continue the story after its original ending.
- work with a partner to agree on new events and decide how they fit into the story.
- share their extended story with the class, speaking clearly and audibly.
- listen politely to others’ story extensions and respond with one relevant comment or question.
