Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.1.2.LI.5 - Apply basic skills in performing individual and team sports (e.g., netball - shooting).
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the role of the Goal Shooter (GS) and Goal Attack (GA) in a netball game and state the shooting zones for each position.
- Describe the key mechanics of a netball shot (stance, hold, aim, release, and follow-through) in the correct order.
- Demonstrate the basic netball shooting skill (one-handed and two-handed push shot) with correct form from the shooting circle.
- Apply the shooting skill in a small-sided netball game situation, working cooperatively in mixed-gender and mixed-ability groups.
- Evaluate their own shooting performance and that of peers, identifying one strength and one area for improvement using simple observation checklists.
