Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.3.LI.2 - Discuss career pathways in Sports Excellence

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Describe at least five distinct career pathways available in sports excellence in Ghana, including their key roles and requirements.
  2. Explain the difference between direct sports careers (athletes, coaches) and sports-related careers (administration, media, medicine, management).
  3. Discuss the educational and training routes required for at least three specific sports careers.
  4. Analyse the challenges and opportunities within selected sports career pathways in Ghana using strategic reasoning.
  5. Present a group discussion on a chosen career pathway, demonstrating leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
