Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.2.2.2.2 - Compare and contrast locomotor movements conducted to even and uneven beats.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three locomotor movements performed to even beats and three performed to uneven beats.
- Demonstrate jumping, hopping, and jogging to an even beat, and running, galloping, and sliding to an uneven beat.
- Explain in their own words the difference between an even beat and an uneven beat.
- Compare and contrast two locomotor movements (one even, one uneven) by stating at least one similarity and one difference.
- Perform a short movement sequence that switches between even and uneven beats when the teacher signals the change.
