Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.2.2.2.2 - Distinguish between a jog and a run, a hop and a jump, and a gallop and a slide.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Name each of the six movements (jog, run, hop, jump, gallop, slide) when they see the teacher or a classmate perform them.
  2. Say one way in which a jog is different from a run, using words like “speed” or “effort”.
  3. Say one way in which a hop is different from a jump, using words like “one foot” or “two feet”.
  4. Say one way in which a gallop is different from a slide, using words like “front” or “side”.
  5. Perform each movement correctly when the teacher calls its name during a movement game.
