Indicator: B7.4.3.1.1 Examine the place of socialisation in the development of the individual.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define socialisation and explain its meaning using the thought shower technique.
- Distinguish between agencies of socialisation and agents of socialisation with relevant examples.
- Identify at least four major agencies of socialisation and the specific agents within each.
- Discuss the role of agencies and agents in shaping the development of an individual.
- Describe how the school and community can work together to support the socialisation of young people.
