Indicator: B5.4.2.1.2 - Identify some of the health facilities and housing projects in the colonial period.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Name at least three health facilities built during the colonial period, including Korle Bu Hospital (1923).
  2. Describe the location and purpose of Korle Bu Hospital, Kumasi Hospital, and Takoradi Hospital.
  3. Identify at least two housing projects or types of housing developed during the colonial period.
  4. Explain in simple terms why these health facilities and housing projects were important to people living at that time.
  5. Use pictures or descriptions to match colonial-era health facilities to their locations in Ghana.
