Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.8.1.1.2 - Parler des évènements que l’on va faire bientôt et que l’on fera plus tard dans l’avenir. (Production orale et Interaction orale)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Use the near future tense (futur proche: aller + infinitive) correctly to talk about events happening soon, such as “Je vais visiter ma grand-mère ce week-end.”
Use the simple future tense (futur simple) correctly to talk about events happening later in the future, such as “Je serai médecin dans dix ans.”
Ask and answer questions about future plans using “Qu’est-ce que tu vas faire?” and “Que feras-tu plus tard?”
Take part in a pair or group role-play where they discuss and respond to questions about their immediate and long-term future projects.
Distinguish between events that happen “bientôt” (soon) and events that happen “plus tard” (later) and choose the correct verb tense for each.
