Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.4.4.3.1 - Lire et comprendre un texte simple sur les saisons où se passent les évènements.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Read aloud a simple French text about seasons and events with correct pronunciation of season and month names.
- Identify the season (la saison) mentioned in a short French text about an event.
- Extract key details from a text, such as the month (le mois) and the event (l’évènement) described.
- Answer simple comprehension questions in French or English based on the text.
- Match months to their correct seasons (dry season, rainy season) as described in the text.
This lesson builds on Week 1, where learners listened to songs and poems about seasons, and on the questioning skills practised earlier in Week 2 (B5.4.4.2.1). It focuses on reading and understanding, not on writing family birth months, which comes in Week 3 (B5.4.4.4.1).
