By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Read and identify the dates of birth, national/traditional festivals and important events written in a simple French text or on a calendar.
Match a given date (day and month) to the correct month on a calendar.
Retrieve and state the dates of key Ghanaian events (independence, Republic Day, Christmas) when reading them in French.
Answer simple comprehension questions in French about dates found in a short reading passage.
Locate and read the date of their own birthday and those of family members from a calendar or written text.
