Indicator: B4.5.4.5.4 - Distinguish between acts of physical courage and physically reckless acts and explain the key characteristics of each.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain in their own words what physical courage means in a sports or physical activity setting.
- Explain in their own words what a physically reckless act means in a sports or physical activity setting.
- Give at least three examples of acts that show physical courage and three examples of physically reckless acts from games and sports.
- List at least four key characteristics that separate physical courage from physically reckless acts.
- Judge given scenarios and classify them as either physical courage or physically reckless, giving a reason for their choice.

Learners identify the difference between physical courage as taking action but care and physically reckless as taking action without care. The former has the key characteristics of observing the rules of the game or sports.
