Learning Objectives

Indicator: B3.5.1.5.1 - Set a personal goal to improve a motor skill and work toward that goal in non-school time.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least one motor skill (for example, push-ups, skipping, or ball bouncing) they want to improve and explain why they chose it.
  2. Set a specific, measurable personal goal for improving that motor skill, including a target number and a timeframe (for example, “I will increase my push-ups from 5 to 8 in 4 weeks”).
  3. Create a simple weekly plan showing when and where they will practise the chosen motor skill outside of school hours.
  4. Describe at least two benefits of practising a motor skill regularly outside of school time.
  5. Track their own progress for one week using a simple checklist or tally chart and report back on what they achieved.
