Se présenter
Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.1.2.1.1 - Écouter et comprendre un dialogue dans lequel des personnes se présentent
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Listen to a short dialogue in which two people introduce themselves and identify the speakers by name.
- Pick out key phrases of self-presentation (Je m’appelle, Je suis, Voici) when they hear them in spoken French.
- Answer simple oral comprehension questions (Qui est-ce? Comment s’appelle-t-il/elle?) about a dialogue they have heard.
- Match spoken introductions to the correct person when given two or three different voices.
- Recognise the difference between a formal introduction (Je vous présente) and an informal one (Je te présente) when listening.
This lesson builds on learners’ very early exposure to greetings and basic classroom phrases from Week 1. It focuses only on listening comprehension. Speaking and asking questions (Week 2’s next slot) and reading/writing introductions (Weeks 3 and 4) are not covered here.
