Saluer et prendre congé
Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.1.2.1 - Saluer et répondre oralement aux salutations et respecter le code et les valeurs sociales
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Greet a friend and a group orally using the expressions “Salut, Joe !” and “Salut cher ami !” with correct pronunciation and intonation.
- Respond to the question “Comment ça va ?” using at least two different responses: “Ça va bien et toi” and “Je vais bien, merci.”
- Ask “Comment ça va ?” to a classmate and answer appropriately when asked in return.
- Demonstrate awareness of the social code for greetings by using polite forms like “merci” and showing respect through tone and body language.
- Distinguish between informal greetings (Salut) and more formal or polite responses in a short role-play.
This lesson follows the listening lesson (B6.1.1.1.1) in which learners watched two people greet each other. It focuses specifically on the learners’ own oral production, and it stops short of written greetings, which are scheduled for Term 1, Week 2.
