Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.1.1.2.1 - Saluer et répondre oralement aux salutations et respecter le code et les valeurs sociales
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Greet someone appropriately using “Bonjour” or “Bonsoir” depending on the time of day, and respond correctly when greeted.
- Ask “Comment tu vas ?” or “Comment allez-vous ?” to enquire about someone’s well-being, choosing the correct form based on who they are speaking to.
- Respond to greetings with “Je vais bien, merci” or “Ça va bien, merci” and politely return the question using “et toi ?” or “et vous ?”.
- Use respectful forms of address such as “madame”, “monsieur” and “maîtresse” when greeting adults, teachers and elders.
- Apply the social code of greeting in short role-plays, including shaking hands, smiling and waiting for the other person to respond before continuing the conversation.
