Indicator: B4.1.1.1.1 - Écouter/Regarder et comprendre un document audio-visuel dans lequel deux personnes se saluent

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least 4 different French greeting expressions when they hear them in an audio-visual document.
  2. Match spoken French greetings to the correct time of day (le matin, l’après-midi, le soir) and context (formal or informal).
  3. Answer simple comprehension questions about a video where two people greet each other.
  4. Distinguish between greetings used at home, school, market and hospital settings based on who is speaking.
  5. Use visual clues, gestures and tone of voice to guess the meaning of unfamiliar greetings in a video.
