Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.3.3.LI.1 - Identify potential hazards in the workspace.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the term “workplace hazard” and distinguish between the main categories of hazards (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and psychological).
- Identify at least five potential hazards when shown a video or image of a manufacturing workplace.
- Classify identified hazards into the correct hazard category with at least 80% accuracy.
- Explain why early identification of hazards is important for preventing accidents and protecting worker health.
- Work collaboratively in mixed-ability, mixed-gender groups to present findings on workplace hazards and respond respectfully to feedback.
