Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.2.2.LI.2 - Explain how renewable energy sources benefit humanity and contribute towards the attainment of the SDGs.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State at least four benefits of renewable energy sources to humanity, with examples from their own communities.
Match specific renewable energy sources to the relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) they help to achieve.
Explain, in their own words, how at least three renewable energy technologies contribute to the attainment of specific SDGs (for example, SDG 7, SDG 13, SDG 3).
Create a simple concept map linking renewable energy benefits to specific SDGs and to local Ghanaian situations.
Participate respectfully in a moderated discussion, giving reasons for their views on renewable energy and the SDGs.
