Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.2.2.1.1 - Gather and record data on religious festivals.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

List at least six religious festivals celebrated in Ghana across the three major religions (Christianity, Islam, and Traditional African Religion).
Use a simple data collection chart or table to record key facts about a selected festival, such as its name, religion, when it is celebrated, and how it is observed.
Describe, in their own words, how at least two different festivals are celebrated, using information gathered from pictures, charts, video clips, or classmates.
Compare one festival from two different religions and identify at least one similarity and one difference in how they are celebrated.
Present gathered data on a festival to the class in a clear and organised way, either orally or in writing.
