Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.2.2.1.1 - Gather and record data on religious festivals.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • List at least six religious festivals celebrated in Ghana across the three major religions (Christianity, Islam, and Traditional African Religion).
  • Use a simple data collection chart or table to record key facts about a selected festival, such as its name, religion, when it is celebrated, and how it is observed.
  • Describe, in their own words, how at least two different festivals are celebrated, using information gathered from pictures, charts, video clips, or classmates.
  • Compare one festival from two different religions and identify at least one similarity and one difference in how they are celebrated.
  • Present gathered data on a festival to the class in a clear and organised way, either orally or in writing.
