Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.3.2.1.3 - Demonstrate active contributions to group readings to develop comprehension skills.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify the five text structures (cause and effect, problem and solution, compare and contrast, description, and time and order) in an Arabic passage about religious festivals.
Explain in Arabic how a specific sentence or paragraph demonstrates a particular text structure.
Contribute at least one meaningful observation about text structure during a small-group post-reading discussion.
Justify their structural choices using evidence from the text during whole-class sharing.
Respond respectfully to peers’ contributions by agreeing, disagreeing, or adding new evidence in Arabic.
