Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.3.2.1.3 - Show the appropriate comprehension strategies to use, demonstrating why, when and how to apply them.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least four comprehension strategies (activating prior knowledge, predicting, visualising, questioning, summarising, and clarifying) and name them in Arabic.
- Explain why each comprehension strategy is useful for a particular reading situation.
- Distinguish between when to apply a specific strategy before, during, or after reading a text.
- Apply appropriate comprehension strategies to a short Arabic text about a familiar topic and justify their choices.
- Contribute meaningfully to a group discussion about how their chosen strategy helped them understand the text.
