Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.3.2.1.3 - Demonstrate the skill of using the question-answer relationship strategy to improve the understanding of a text.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Classify post-reading questions as either textually explicit (answers directly stated in the text) or textually implicit (answers implied, requiring background knowledge).
Answer textually explicit questions by locating and quoting exact words and phrases from a short Arabic passage about education.
Answer textually implicit questions by combining clues from the text with their own background knowledge and vocabulary.
Explain the difference between the two types of question-answer relationships in simple Arabic sentences.
Use the question-answer relationship strategy independently to respond to at least four post-reading questions on a new passage.
