Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.3.2.1.1 - Identify and use punctuation marks (question, exclamation, full-stop, comma) in given texts

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify question marks (?), exclamation marks (!), full-stops (.) and commas (,) in a given passage and state the job each one does.
  2. Insert the correct punctuation marks into unpunctuated sentences and short paragraphs.
  3. Write four original sentences of their own, each correctly using at least one of the four punctuation marks studied.
  4. Correct punctuation errors in a given paragraph and explain why each correction was made.
