Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.3.3.1.1 - Identify and use reflexive, relative and reciprocal pronouns
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify reflexive pronouns (myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves) in a given passage.
- Identify relative pronouns (who, whom, whose, which, that, where) in sentences and explain what noun or noun phrase each one links to.
- Identify reciprocal pronouns (each other, one another) and explain how they show a shared or mutual action between two or more people.
- Use reflexive, relative and reciprocal pronouns correctly in sentences of their own.
- Revise and apply pronouns learnt in B1 to B5 (personal, possessive, demonstrative and interrogative pronouns) alongside the new types introduced in this lesson.

- Reflexive pronouns to emphasis that an objects of a verb is the same person as the subject e.g. myself, yourself etc. - Relative pronouns to link ideas or add information to a noun or a noun phrase e.g. which, where, whose etc. - Reciprocal pronouns e.g. each other, one another - Use a text to revise the different pronouns learnt in B1-B5. - Introduce reflexive pronouns with examples in sentences. - Discuss the reflexive pronouns with learners. - Provide a passage and group learners to identify reflexive pronouns, and use the pronouns identified in sentences. - Repeat the procedure to teach relative and reciprocal pronouns.
