Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.3.3.1.1 - Identify and use indefinite pronouns e.g. someone, anyone, everything etc. Possessive pronouns to show possession, e.g. mine, ours etc.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify indefinite pronouns (someone, anyone, everyone, no one, something, anything, everything, nothing) in given sentences and a short passage.
  2. Use indefinite pronouns correctly to complete sentences and compose their own sentences.
  3. Identify possessive pronouns (mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs, its) in given sentences.
  4. Distinguish between possessive pronouns and the possessive adjectives they often replace (e.g. my book becomes mine).
  5. Write a short passage of four to six sentences that includes at least two indefinite pronouns and two possessive pronouns correctly.
