Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.1.LI.1 - Describe price in the economy.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define price in their own words, distinguishing it from cost and value.
  2. Explain price as the outcome of the interaction between demand and supply in a market.
  3. Identify and describe examples of prices from their immediate environment (school canteen, shops, market).
  4. Use demand and supply concepts to explain why a particular good or service has a given price.
  5. Present a simple oral or written report on prices observed in their environment, showing strategic reasoning about how those prices came to be.
