Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.10.3.1 - Research and deliver speeches on given informational topics

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Select an informational topic of personal interest from texts they have read in class or at home.
  2. Use library or classroom resources to research at least three key facts or ideas about their chosen topic.
  3. Organise their researched facts into a clear sequence: introduction, body, and conclusion.
  4. Deliver a short speech of at least one minute to the class, speaking clearly and at a good pace, building on the pace and expression work from Week 9.
  5. Listen attentively to peers’ speeches and give one piece of positive feedback and one suggestion for improvement.
