Indicator: B6.1.10.3.2 - Draw on prior knowledge to identify subject matter and organisational structure of speech

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State what they already know about the roles of participants, facilitators, advisors and time-keepers in a speech-making group.
Identify the subject matter of a short speech and explain what the speech is about in one sentence.
Identify the organisational structure of a speech by naming its three main parts: introduction, body and conclusion.
Sort the parts of a sample speech into introduction, body and conclusion.
Choose their own topic for a speech and explain the subject matter and the structure they would use for it.
