  • Explain how a poet’s feelings are revealed through the speed, emphasis, and pitch of the voice.
  • Recite a familiar poem with appropriate pace, stress, and tone to convey its meaning.
  • Critique a classmate’s recital constructively, focusing on pace, stress, tone, and rhythm.
  • Perform a self-chosen poem individually or in a group, applying the vocal techniques discussed.
