Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.1.10.2.1 - Speak clearly and fluently, using the appropriate voice qualities (pace, tone etc.)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define pace and tone as voice qualities used when speaking.
- Identify whether a speaker is speaking too fast, too slowly, or at a good pace.
- Give a short speech of 4 to 6 sentences on a familiar topic, speaking clearly and at a steady pace.
- Vary their tone to show feelings such as excitement, sadness, or politeness during their speech.
- Self-assess and peer-assess short speeches using a simple checklist on pace and tone.
