Indicator: B1.1.10.1.1 - Identify audience and purpose of presentation
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain in simple terms what an audience is and what a purpose is when speaking.
- Identify the audience for a given speaking situation (for example, a friend’s parents, classmates, or family members).
- State the purpose of a presentation using phrases like “to introduce”, “to greet”, or “to tell about”.
- Use the expression “Hello, meet my Dad” and similar phrases correctly when introducing someone.
- Choose an appropriate greeting and introduction for a given audience in a role-play situation.
