Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.1 - Crea y explica un árbol genealógico. (Expresión oral y escrita)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and name at least 10 family members in Spanish (padre, madre, hermano, hermana, abuelo, abuela, tío, tía, primo, prima) with correct pronunciation.
Create a simple family tree (árbol genealógico) diagram showing at least three generations of their own family.
Explain their family tree orally in Spanish using sentences like “Este es mi padre”, “Ella es mi abuela”, using correct possessive adjectives (mi, mis).
Write 4 to 6 sentences describing the people in their family tree, including relationships and names.
Respond to and ask basic questions about family members, such as “¿Quién es?”, “¿Cómo se llama tu madre?” and “¿Cuántos hermanos tienes?”

Rompehielos (Icebreaker):
- El profesor/la profesora muestra a los/las aprendices un vídeo/una imágen de una familia con indicación de la relación de parentesco (padre, madre, hija,hijo, hermano, hermana, etc). Luego, les hace preguntas como estas:
1. ¿Quién en la clase tiene dos hermanos?
2. ¿Quién en la clase tiene.......?
- Menciona algún vocabulario relacionado con la familia y pregunta a los/las aprendices si tienen a esa persona o no.
- Luego, pide a los/las aprendices que mencionen las personas que hay en su familia.
