Indicator: B5.3.10.1.1 - Use prepositions to convey a variety of meanings
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify prepositions in a given text and state the meaning each preposition conveys (position, direction, time, purpose, possession, comparison, support or opposition).
- Match prepositions to the meaning they express when given example sentences.
- Construct at least five original sentences, each using a preposition to show a different meaning.
- Complete gap-fill exercises by choosing the correct preposition to express the intended meaning.
- Read aloud sentences with correct intonation, placing appropriate emphasis on prepositions.
