Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.1 - Explain the stakeholders involved in building construction project

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define the term “stakeholder” in the context of a building construction project and distinguish stakeholders from professionals using at least two clear criteria.
  2. Identify at least six different stakeholders involved in a building construction project and classify each as either a direct stakeholder (actively involved in daily work) or an indirect stakeholder (affected by or with interest in the project).
  3. Categorise stakeholders according to their area of interest (financial, regulatory, social, environmental, or user-related) using a simple classification chart.
  4. Explain, in their own words, why a construction project requires the cooperation of many different stakeholders rather than just the building team alone.
  5. Work effectively in mixed-ability groups to present a group explanation of stakeholders, showing respect for diverse opinions and ensuring all group members contribute.
