Indicator: B5.1.3.3.1 - Lire et comprendre la présentation d’un personnage dans un conte/un roman/une nouvelle

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read a short extract from a French story (conte) that presents a character and pick out key details about who the character is (name, age, where they live, what they do).
  2. Answer simple comprehension questions in French or English about a presented character, using short phrases or single words.
  3. Identify and underline the sentences in a text that give information about a character’s identity (name, age, profession, address, tastes).
  4. Match French phrases from the text with their meanings, showing understanding of vocabulary used to present someone.
  5. Retell, in 2 or 3 simple French sentences, who a character in a short text is, using the model “C’est…, il/elle a…, il/elle habite à…”
