Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.2.LI.2

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Distinguish between a manual portfolio and a digital portfolio by identifying the characteristics, advantages and limitations of each format.
  2. Sort and select their own art and design works from previous projects to create a curated manual portfolio, explaining the reason for including each piece.
  3. Use a mobile phone, computer, or school ICT lab to photograph, scan and organise at least five of their artworks into a simple digital portfolio folder system.
  4. Write a short reflective caption for each work in both portfolios that states the title, medium, year, and the artistic intention of the piece.
  5. Work collaboratively in small groups to critique each other’s portfolios and give constructive feedback, following agreed criteria for assessment.
