Indicator: B4.1.3.1.1 - Recite poems with stress, rhythm and actions and interpret them in their own words

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Listen to and observe a short poem performed by the teacher with correct stress, rhythm and actions.
  2. Identify the key words in a poem and explain their meanings in context.
  3. Recite a short poem in groups, pairs and individually, using appropriate stress and rhythm.
  4. Add simple actions to match the meaning of the poem.
  5. Explain the meaning of the poem in their own words.
