Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.2.2.1.1 Explore the relationship between living and non-living things in the environment
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Distinguish between living things (plants, animals, humans) and non-living things (soil, sunlight, water, air, land) using simple observable features.
- Explain at least two specific ways in which plants depend on non-living things such as soil, sunlight and water for survival.
- Describe how humans depend on air, water and land in their daily lives, with local examples.
- Work in groups to discuss and present the relationship between given pairs of living and non-living things.
- Predict what would happen to living things if one non-living thing (for example, water or sunlight) was removed from the environment.
