Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.6.5.1.1 - Talk freely about different parts of a plants and their uses
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least four parts of a plant (root, stem, leaf, fruit) when shown a picture or a real plant.
- Point to and identify the root, stem, leaf and fruit on a real plant or a conversational poster.
- Talk freely about at least one food we get from each of these plant parts (for example, cassava from the root, sugarcane from the stem, kontomire from the leaf, orange from the fruit).
- Mention at least one plant that is used as medicine (for example, neem leaves, ginger root).
- Contribute to a group discussion by answering questions and sharing their own ideas about plants and their uses.
