Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.2.2.3.3 - Create own performing artworks that communicate, educate or sensitise the public on topical issues in the world

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least three current topical issues in the world that can be expressed through performing artworks such as drama, dance and music.
  2. Explain how a performing artwork can communicate, educate or sensitise an audience on a chosen topical issue.
  3. Plan and compose a short original performing artwork (drama scene, dance, song or chant) that addresses a selected topical issue.
  4. Present their composed artwork to the class, using appropriate voice, movement and expression.
  5. Give and receive constructive feedback through peer review, using simple criteria to discuss strengths and areas for improvement.
